Letters, Labels & Email

Now that we have explored the Contacts and Contact Lists sections of the program, you have seen how to enter your contacts and group contacts on lists. You are ready to generate mail merge letters, print labels and envelopes, and send mass emails to your contacts. PastPerfect 5.0 incorporates Microsoft Word to provide you with an easy to use and familiar word processing program to compose your letters. In MS-Word, you can automatically merge information contained in PastPerfect's data fields into your mailings. You must have MS-Word installed on your computer to use these word processing functions. If you do not have MS-Word, you may purchase it from Microsoft or from a retailer.

This chapter will discuss how to create and print mail merge letters. Mail merge letters may be created for Temporary Custody Receipts and Accessions as well as Contacts. We will also review printing mailing labels and envelopes and modifying them to suit your needs. Finally, sending mass emails from PastPerfect will be explored.
