Volunteer Projects

When managing volunteers, it is important to keep track of the different types of activities or projects that each volunteer takes part in at your organization. Adding new projects can be done from the Setup Contacts screen, under Settings | Contacts Settings. Volunteer Projects listed on this screen will be available in the Project drop-down menu list when adding volunteer hours.

 

Add Volunteer Project

Note: Each volunteer project must have a unique name.

 

  1. Click the "New Project" button on the Setup Contacts screen


  2. Type in the project name
  3. Type in the project code. Project codes can be used to group multiple projects for reporting purposes.
  4. Click "Save"

Edit Volunteer Project/Code

Note: If you edit a project name, it will not change the project name for previously posted volunteer hours.

 

  1. Click the project name on the Setup Contacts screen
  2. Make your edits
  3. Click "Save"

Delete Volunteer Project

Note: If you delete a project name, it will not change the project name for previously posted volunteer hours.

 

  1. Hover over the project that you want to delete on the Setup Contacts screen
  2. Click the Trash Can icon on the right side
  3. Click "Yes" to confirm
