Keeping Track of Donors

PastPerfect uses the Development section to track information about people who have a relationship with your institution. When a person donates an item to your institution, their contact information is recorded on a Contact record. If a person donates items to your institution multiple times, the same contact information can be used again since it is already in your system. If the same person also gives you monetary donations, joins as a member, volunteers or works at your institution, all this information is stored on one Contact record. This allows for a comprehensive view of a contact's relationship with your institution. Once a person donates an item to you, you can create a Temporary Custody, Accession, or Incoming Loan record to track that item.
